Diya Bath (Sri Lankan Style Wet Rice)
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked rice (preferably white rice)
- 1.5 cups water
- 1-2 cups coconut milk (1st milk)
- 5-8 red onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoon lime juice
- 5-6 Curry Leaves (firmly chopped)
- 1 teaspoon grated Maldive fish (optional)
- 2-3 Green Chilies (chopped)
- Salt to Taste
Method:
- Add the water to the rice and soak it overnight.
- Next day morning, mix the other ingredients with the rice and add salt to taste.
Tips:
- Dry red chilies can be used instead of green chilies.
- You can adjust the ingredients and thickness of the coconut milk used according to your taste.
