Aligatapera Drink (Avocado Drink)

Ingredients
  • 02 – 03 ripped avocado
  • 01L Cold milk
  • 08 – 10 ice cubes
  • Sugar to taste
  • 02 – 03 drops of vanilla (optional)


Method
  1. Peal the avocado and remove the seed.
  2. Add avocado, and 500ml cold milk and blend until it becomes a smooth paste
  3. Add sugar to taste and blend another 1 minute
  4. Add remaining 500ml cold milk, fed drops of vanilla and ice cubes and blend another 1 minute
  5. Serve chilled


Tips: 
  • You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream top and serve, which makes it more delicious

String Hoppers (Indi Appa)

Ingredients 3 cups roasted rice flour –roasted (flour should be fine & free flowing without clumps). 2 – 3 cups boiling water Salt to taste If you are using the instant string hoppers flour carry out the instructions properly in it. Method Take dry bowl and add the flour and salt. Mix it well Slowly add the boiling water to rice flour until you can form a dough that does not stick to the bowl (if you want to get light fluffy string hoppers there should be the right consistency) Fill the string hopper mold with dough and squeeze it to the string hoppers watties to form lacy circles. Ingredients 500g Rice flour 60g crushed rice pieces roasted 500ml Kithul treacle 01 bottle Coconut Oil 2-3 pods Cardamom     Method Boil the Treacle and then add rice flour and small pieces of roasted rice until a stuff mixture is formed. Continue to cook in very low flame. Mix well until the mixture form into a ball.  Pour into a lightly oiled board and allow it to cool. Add 2 cups of water to the used pan and boil until the left over mixture turns in to starch. Use it to knead the stiff dough until very pliable and free from cracks. Make small size balls and then form into small flat cakes dipping fingers into oil. Fry in deep oil. Drain off excess oil.
